All students are required to take all the three core courses, namely Leadership and Accountability, Ethics, and Contemporary issues affecting Africa.

The course will focus on the development of leadership. Learners will be exposed to examples of leadership in action and be given opportunities to apply the theoretical aspects of the training to case studies from African countries and beyond. 

The course will focus on ethical behavior in organizations and in society. Learners will be exposed to examples of ethical decision making in action and be given opportunities to apply the theoretical aspects of the training to case studies from African countries and beyond.

The course explores issues affecting Africa. These issues include Africa and global technology landscape, gender and diversity, healthcare policies for positive development, urbanization and the difficulties it presents, and emerging issues in African development.
