YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa, Accra has commenced the training of 81 participants in Accra. Participants of Cohort 41 are drawn from nine countries within the sub region and are currently undergoing a three-week onsite leadership training.

At the opening ceremony for the cohort, Rector of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Prof. Samuel K. Bonsu, welcomed participants to the Accra RLC, encouraging them to tap into the learning lessons and experiences of other participants in their journey to leadership success.

Deputy Mission Director at USAID West Africa, Mr. Gregory Howell, paid glowing tribute to some participants of Cohort 41 for their dedicated service to their communities and countries.

Mr. Howell also praised the Accra RLC for its role in successfully recruiting participants for the cohort, while outlining opportunities the Accra RLC, with support from USAID, has secured for its Alumni.

Participants of Cohort 41 are being trained in the three YALI tracks of Business and Entrepreneurship, Civic Leadership and Public Policy and Management. Cohort 41 participants are being taken through facilitated, group and networking sessions, educational and social trips, simulation and poster sessions as well as games and site seeing.
