Call for Facilitators

The Young African Leaders Initiative(YALI) is looking for facilitators who use engaging and interactive learner-centred approaches to teach and transfer practical and applicable skills. The essence is to increase the learning effects among our participants; so that they could utilize the knowledge in their leadership roles, personal careers, communities, and countries by which they would be able to make significant impacts as young leaders.

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) was launched by the President of the United States as a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders. The YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa seeks to empower young men and women between the ages of 18 and 35 from Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, who are ready to embrace leadership and work hard to transform their countries. The YALI Emerging Leaders Program teaches young African leaders about modern leadership. The program is divided into four phases – a coursework/lecture phase delivered online and onsite and the remaining 3 phases distributed equally among a mentorship program, internship or community service, and a report-writing period.

The in-person is delivered at two different locations. We have our Ghana campus at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra and Nigeria campus at the Administrative and Staff College of Nigeria, Badagry, Lagos. We run the program five times a year. In Ghana, it is run three times: March-April, July-August, and November-December. In Nigeria the program is run in February-March and May-June. Kindly indicate in your application the session(s) when you will be available to facilitate on any of our future cohorts.
